These are for small plants in small thin walled planters. They do not work on thicker pots or taller plants. The posability of these is great -you can bent them easily. I do wish they were a bit taller. The lights are strong enough for one plant but I also use them for supplemental light for plants that are not getting enough light from the larger grow lights. I wish the timer had a 4 hour and/or 8 hour selection. Out of the six lights I have found that the timers do not work properly on 2 of them. Overall, my small plants like them and seem like they are getting enough light with them.

I bought these for my African Violets that were not getting adequate light to bloom. Just a short time after installing the lights, my plants have started pushing out new blooms. If you’re looking to provide light to a large area, these are not the grow lights you need. However, it is great for a single plant. The timer makes life easier since I placed the plants in a spot where I cannot easily access the on/off switch.

Was so disappointed when I couldn’t get the lamps to work. The reviews were excellent! Finally realized it was operator error- don’t hold down on the on/off button, just press quickly until you hear the click and then let pressure off. They work beautifully- you can set timer and light intensity. My rating has jumped to a solid 5+ and highly recommend.
