  • Great working ballast for my 08 Prius. Listen, when trying to get the new ballast in, if you unscrew lefty loosy the arrowed plastic screw on the light adjuster (see pic)it will come.out and you can easily push the new ballast connector through the hole and then simply screw it right tighty back on in original position. Easy easy reinstall. And I'm a mom of 4. 👍

  • I have them over a new planted tank and around my orchids and cactus. Everyone seems happy. They are small, as wide as a credit card, and visually do not stand out too much. There are 4 settings of brightness and each are quite different so you have a broad range of lighting options. Over my tank I have 4, so 2 sets of two, and I can adjust them separately for varied light. I will be buying more for a lower shelf of plants.

  • My son gave me an orchid as a housewarming gift. I am not living where there is a lot of sunshine.I wasn’t sure how effective this light would be. It seems to be working very well. I did have to be creative and put the pole into an empty vase. It would’ve been nice if it came with a stand. The timer comes on at 9:30 every morning and goes off 12 hours later. It was easy to set – you just have to look at the manual that comes with the grow light. I had a problem with the pole When I got it. I had difficulty extending it. I contacted the company and they immediately replaced it with a new one. The orchid might look as if it’s dying, but it is actually putting out a second round of buds, which will turn into flowers soon. Very happy with this product.

  • There is a high frequency noise on various settings. I’m assuming it’s because it was damaged a bit. The plastic packaging was chipping apart like it’s been in heat for a long time and then it cooled and cracked. I’m going to return it and try it out again. Hopefully the second one will work out.

  • This company has shown me that they are very willing to take responsability and work hard to keep their customers happy. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I had a problem with what I ordered and I was quite unhappy and wrote what was definitely a negative review. However, without me asking them, the company apparently saw my review and reached out to me and offered to make accomodations. I had not even contacted them, but they contacted me and offered to refund my money for two of these that I had purchased. I was shocked because no one has ever offered to do that before, just based on an unhappy review. They didn't need to do that, because I had NOT complained to them or to ecogrowhawaii.com and had NOT asked for my money back. But it was important to them that I was happy, and they were willing to do something about it. Shocking!!! That is great customer service and they have proven that they have committed to serving their customers. As or the light, it is the lowest price light that I have found, that is rated at a 1000 watt light output. It has dual switches for red and blue shades, the light box itself is fully made out of strong material with metal front and back and a ceramic/composite box. It is not flimsy at all and I cannot fault its construction. Nor can I fault the light output, especially considering the price, and the plants in my greenhouse are happy with it. Unlike more expensive models, this model DOES NOT have an internal cooling fan, and with the protective clear plastic shield over the face, and no internal fan, I was definitely afraid that it might overheat, but it has not done so at all, even when my greenhouse itself reached 105 degrees! (Yes, I had problems with the ventilation in my greenhouse, but that didn't affect the light at all and it continued to function without excessive heat output). I think that one reason it really does not overheat at all is because it has extra vents on the side, as you can see from the picture. Many of the other grow lights that have built-in fans do not have vents on the side since that would change the air flow with the fan. So this works. All in all, I am very happy with them and I would definitely consider buying from them again.

  • These bulbs were bought end of March 2025. 3 have died already and it’s May 4, 2025. Just pulled new one out to replace burnt on and it’s broken, tried another and a pin on one side is bent, pulled last one out, got installed it and it won’t work. My return window ended less than 2 weeks ago. If you buy- check every single bulb right away or your return window ceases. My suggestion is to pass on these.

  • I am at the end of the second week of flowering and am very happy with these lights. It is important to note that the light is ideal for a 2'x4' area max. The PAR lighting map the manufacturer shows is not from this light. Even considering this, the value of this light at $138 is fantastic. I am running two lights in each 4' x 4' growing area and am very happy. Having 600+ watts for under $280 is a fantastic deal. With two lights per 4' x 4' space, I can easily have over 1,000 ppfd when needed in the greenhouse. Update: i added 4 photos from 3-4 weeks before harvest. For a greenhouse, these lights are ideal. Update: The video is 4-5 days into flushing. I am very happy with the lights performance. I will continue to use these lights without hesitation. I am very happy.

  • I want to preface this by saying this is by far the most powerful light of its size, normally you should expect to pay 1$ per watt or more, and the light does work. However, I worked at a Grow & UV-C light manufacturer for 3+ years and I feel compelled to share a summary of my findings (using this with legal herbs like mint). 1. Wear eye protection or get a timer. I guarantee you this light could cause blindness just from repeated indirect exposure of 10 minutes per day at 20% brightneas. 2. It stays ice cold even after being on for hours. It uses a low voltage fan almost like an old halogen light. The LEDs will last but I know the fan will go out at some point based on how it sounds out of the box. Again, at this price point consider this a disposable light and it is still a great deal. 3. The light is too bright. You can get around this by using it for shorter periods than 8 hours. For seedlings even 20% brightness for 4 hours may be too much. They will perk up immediately and then be overwhelmed when you check layer. However I think it would be perfect if it was used during the flowering phase of certain herbs, moreso than any light I'm familiar with from grow stores. The light is too strong. The fact that is incorporates UVC and IR is cutting edge. However, in order for them to be effective you need to be able to disable them and use at the appropriate time. IR helps a lot to create denser (not fluffy) flowers, but is useless early on. The bigger problem is the short wavelength blue light (UVC). Think of this as steroids for plants. Normally the earth's atmosphere blocks most of the high energy light from reaching us, and the less harmful waves like A&B are more present. You can add this back in and jump start the photomorphogenic response, which causes a plant to beef itself up in self defense. This will cause a plant in late vegetation and flowering stages to create more resin, terpenes, and cannabanoids. But earlier than that it can stunt plant growth, especially in seedlings, and it is dangerous for eyes. If I were to fix this light I would improve the fan so it didn't rattle, add a switch to toggle IR & UVC, make the daisy-chain ports tighter, and potentially even reduce the number of chips or chip density. All in all, this is the best light on the market period for late veg and flowering, and probably fruiting vegetables, but is not suitable for sprouts, seedlings, small herbs, things of that nature. Theoretically you should be able to dim the light and raise it, but I think the light spill is already too dangerous especially for younger eyes like pets and small children. I would only recommend this light be used inside a tent, on a timer, and adjusted wearing UV glasses. I would also suggest there be more warnings, because I know for a fact you could create cataracts in a week if that was your objective.

  • Update: I received a full refund. I am very pleased with the customer concerning the light not working. Product was purchased and delivered at the end of April 2024. It worked great until it didn’t. After 5 months of daily use it suddenly stopped working properly. The lights come on and immediately go back off. For a few days I could unplug it and turn it on and it would stay on but I couldn’t use the timer. Now it comes on and immediately goes back off. I’m so frustrated and disappointed in this product especially with the gloomy winter weather approaching.

  • SO these are amazing, easy instal, set the timer and forget! I think they are a great option for grow lights and look nice. I have compliments on the set up frequently. All of my plants are doing wonderful under. Overall amazing product so far!

  • I love these. Perfect for indoor plants or anything you want to clip to. The clip will not attach to big pots, so you may have to find something nearby, maybe a blind or shelf. Each one has to be plugged in (has USB but also includes wall adapters). Pay attention to the specs to make sure these suit your requirements.

  • I ordered this lighting system 9/24/24 for my citrus trees over the colder months. I live in MA so I had it set to the 8 hour timer starting around 5pm every evening to give the plants the extra lighting they need. Before bed every night I make sure the light turned on - as it has. Today, 12/29/24 I went in the spare room for my weekly watering of the trees and noticed the lights were blinking. I held the power button - nothing happened. I unplugged the light, waited 30 seconds then plugged back in. It flashed once then would not turn back on. I then inspected this product and was horrified to see the box had overheated at some point and burned which turned it brown. THANK THE STARS this did not start a fire!! Likely thanks to the fact I had it hanging off of the ground and the box wasn’t touching anything. I could be in a very different position right now. 1 star bc the product lasted a measly 3 months and also I could be homeless and dog less had a fire started.

  • Easy to hang with needed hooks included. Keeps my large snake plant happy. Very bright but light is directed down so not unbearably so as it does not come out of the side of light. I bought almost a year ago and still working well. Each light has an individual on off switch but one plug only.

  • 5 out of 5
I rebuilt an old bug zapper. The old zapper had a different style ballast in it. I removed all of the components and rewired it using this ballast and a new transformer. Works exactly like it was supposed to.

  • We live in the Midwest and its to cold outside to get our garden starts going and ready to plant in the garden when it finally warms up. We don't have a good South facing window to use so these seem like the cheapest and best option. The starts seem to love the lights are are going very well. They are quiet, easy to use, and seems to be well made for as simple as they are. I have bought 2 more sets to use for plants. One question I have though are the 200 watt total between the 2 units or 200 watt each?
