Purchased 2 of these. Wished I would have either bought another or just went bigger. Good light for 2 small plants but will need more once they grow out of VEG state. These lights would work great with a smaller grow tent.
I have no way to scientifically test the light that comes out of this unit, but it seems to be making my seedlings grow. It's very easy to set up (the clip is great for attaching to the edge of my grow table) and operate. The automated timer feature has worked flawlessly so far. And the flexible wand of the two lighting units makes them almost endlessly adjustable. Very happy and would definitely recommend for small scale setups (my two light unit covers two small (12 cell) seed trays).
I just received my Mars hydro light. I'm not always one to write reviews, but these guys deserved one. And my previous light was a king LED 1200 w, which used a lot of the reds and blues. I have been looking for a higher wattage light because I have been having low performance on my last few grows. I put this light in yesterday in the afternoon on the 11th of February. I checked it this morning on the 12th of February, it's like a switch was flipped on the tomato plant. I only wish I had it before a picture. In the one I showed I had to tuck more branches under the SCROG netting. Because they had moved so high they were getting closer to the light. It runs a little warmer and then the King LED. And the surfaces of it can get, I wouldn't say hot, but warmer than warm to the touch. My only gripe is that it seems to be a little weighted to one side. When I put it in my tent it leaned a bit in one direction. As far as I can tell it's that the third box which is the dimmer switch, and daisy chain box. It's on only one side of the light, it doesn't carry a lot of weight, but it appears to be just enough to make the light tilt. I fixed it very simply by using a small plastic box and adding weight to it, I rested it on top of the light, and it seems to work well. Simple solution. All in all the light is awesome, I can't speak to its longevity, I only just got it, but very impressed at the start. UPDATE I thought I would add an update to my review. It's now the end of August 2021, the light is still running strong. Still works exactly as it did. It's holding up perfectly, have not had one issue yet. Plants grow amazingly well under it. You can also put the light nearly right on top of the plant and it will not burn it. Granted you got to have good ventilation. I'm sure an obvious question people have, I was able to grow fruit that was incredibly dense, and very high in potency. I knew some purists who are very good at what they do, and they did not think an LED could stand up to HPS, and even they were impressed by the final result.
It looks and feels like an elegant grow light and is exactly what I was looking for compared to the competitor brand. The timer took me a second to figure out but everything is up and running perfectly. It was a lot brighter than I expected and I do feel a decent amount of heat coming off of it when close but that is to be expected.
I like this hanging pot hanger. It’s very pretty and versatile. I like that it’s easy to put the grow light in it. The current plant I have in it doesn’t need a grow light but I love that when I switch out the plant I have options.
Being that this appeared to be one of the first grow lights using separate (Royal) Blue and Red Diodes, I figured I would check it out and see how it compared to the very questionable competition. At the time of this review there was a 40$ coupon, bringing down the price to 129$, a very competetive price considering the footprint and efficacy. For that price you get a ridiculously bright fixture, with a Sosen(!) driver, no less, unlike everyone else in the price range; I will withhold names, but you probably know who they are, who use unbranded drivers. The overall build quality is good, or equal, to what you expect most bar-style lights to be. I can't really test whether the triangular heatsink is any more efficient than the rest, as I have nothing to compare it to, but it does its job. The PPFD chart they provide on the product page seems to be accurate, in so far as I can test general Lux conversions. Overall, at the price of 129$, with these diodes, coverage, a well-known driver, and an ETL listing, this is by far one of the most competitive offerings for bar style lights in this price range.
It’s a relief to find a replacement T5HO fluorescent lightbulb. I’m glad it fits on the aquarium light fixture.
Am already seeing growth two weeks in really enjoying this product, brighter than my other ones I had bought . Would recommend very good I use the white light and it works to grow all my houseplants
It’s nice. Very bright. It was a bit difficult putting together with the cord being inside already and needing to twist it together. Also why does it lean forward..?
Add chains for options on how to set up. And stop changing my delivery date.
I replaced the drivers side ballast. It was a great deal compared to oem and shipped very fast. However it is substantially dimmer that the original. I thought it might be the bulb but I swapped them from side to side with the same results. I can live with that but the frusterating thing is it stays on for 20 minutes after the lights are shut off. I will try and return it and get a new one and see how it works.
Great price for what you get! I wanted one that hangs and this is better than the other brand I returned. The other cost a little less, but you had to add lots of attachments and set it up. This one you can just add the two clips and it’s done. I use a small binder clip to hold the wire to keep it adjustable. Very bright and isn’t growing leggy seedlings. I have them on a timer and plugged a fan into one of the lights. Growing lots of peppers, tomatoes, herbs, eggplant, cabbages, and flowers. Even some small indoor plants. Love them, although they should have a built in timer.
Very good light, but I gave it 2 stars, because I bought a $259.00 and got it, with no hangers. I had 2 buy hangers 4 it, what a waste, ya wouod think it would come with thr right hangers, not 1 for each corner of the light. Do you know how hard and aggregating it is 2 lower 4 rope hangers, besides 2, send the right stuff, I bought a sf 2000 pro and it came with all the right hangers to hang it.. but the more ya spend, I guess they think owell u can afford 10.00 more dollars for the right hangers!
Love these! I was worried that they might not be bright enough but they are wonderful, they light up the whole room and will definitely keep my plants happy throughout the winter :)
