Decently bright, exact dimensions, fits perfectly on my racks for seedlings. Have both the white LED and purple and love both. Sturdy and well made.
I got two packs of these for my indoor green house. The quality is very good. I like the way they connect together because I can just unplug one end if I don't need all the lights on and it still works good. There is no timer, which I actually liked because I was able to use a smart plug and set my own on and off times. The size is perfect and the light filled almost all the space in my green house. My whole garden is full of the seeds I started thanks to these lights! Highly recommend. Very easy to use and my plants love them. To install it comes with different things to use. I just used the zip ties as they were easiest.
I purchased two (2) SPF2000 when they were first made available. I only grow 4-5 plants at a time & needed to upgrade & replace my purple light emitting units. I had always considered the 'open' type LED light fixtures as 'Professional' & not suitable to my needs. I was wrong. They are good for everyone. Once you think about it, the 'open' type, makes more sense. More light penetrates to inner buds better. After germinating, I placed 5 seedlings, one each in a 5 gallon cloth container, under these two light units along with my Sonlipo SPB2000 (No longer available) purchased a year ago to control the lights. My seedlings look very happy & I am too. The price was very appealing, no 'purple light' washing room, no fan-no noise, much less heat. Features include off/on, one each veg & bloom off/on switches. The one thing I don't like is no UV diodes. I have read where some claim this is not important or needed, but I like UV. Even so, I am definitely a happy fun filled Sonlipo customer. I had several times emailed Sonlipo for some help & they are happy to respond. I had found a 'Congratulations - You are a winner!' card in the box when I received my lights. Sonlipo sent me a beautiful 'smoking set' worth @ $40.00! Give them a try. Grab some SPF2000's before prices go up as inflation right now is terrible. Good luck & have fun! UPDATE: I just received my 3rd SPF2000 LED light unit. My plants look so good this time I felt another unit will produce bigger buds. Sonlipo is producing high quality LED light units for a very reasonable price. Check them out. Sept.2022 - Just had a real nice grow with my Sonlipo SPF2000 LED light units. I am very happy with the results of my 5 different strains. These lights work very well for nice tight big buds. The original cost & the operating costs were much lower than other 'high priced' LED units the same size. Happy growing!
Ugh. I wanted to love this light. At first it was great, the telescoping arm goes up super high and the top arm is bendable. It was so nice to have! BUT I found out quickly (within a few days) that the knobs that tightens the telescope doesn't actually tighten them enough to keep it from sliding back down slowly. It ended up sliding too far down and burnt my Monstera 😭. It was such a giant and beautiful and leaf. Actually it was my first leaf that I could get to grow all the way without and damage... Until now. 🤦🏼♀️ I'm so upset.
I absolutely love this grow light. I started growing beets on my balcony, and since growing them from seedlings I’ve been using this light and they are looking great. I thought for a second grow light, I’d upgrade to a nicer one for my carrots. After 2 weeks of giving the “better” one a try, I returned it and bought a second one of this one because I liked it so much (especially for outdoor use). I cannot say I’ve tested it in direct rain since I have a covered balcony, but any rain that blows under, it does just fine. Also did well in the hot summer, didn’t overheat. It gets maybe a little hot to touch, but it’s really not that bad and I have no concerns of it ever overheating. I built my own stands, a custom mount for my first, and for my second one I used the hooks it provided which work great. A nice touch would be if you could adjust the height using the hooks, but unfortunately you cannot. Overall though, I absolutely love this light and it gives me the opportunity to grow more crops in my very limited space that gets hardly any sun. I would recommend this light to anyone who needs an outdoor grow light and you are limited on sunlight. No need for an expensive, fancy grow light, this gets the job done just as well and for a third of the cost (maybe even more).
I purchased three sets of these lights to create a four-level seed-starting setup, and overall, I’m quite pleased with their performance. One of the most impressive aspects is the accuracy of the PAR values—after testing with a highly reliable and calibrated PAR meter, I found the manufacturer's claims to be spot on at the specified 7.78” height. Since I’m growing vegetable and herb seedlings, I aimed for a PAR range of 150-300. This required some adjustments in light spacing and height to achieve optimal results. Below are some key findings from my testing: - Two lights spaced 7.87” apart at 7.87” height: Consistent PAR readings around 104. - Two lights at 2.5” height: PAR values reached approximately 233 directly below each light but dropped off sharply in between (around 85 PAR). - Three lights spaced ~4” apart at 2.5” height: More even coverage with PAR values ranging from 280-320. - A single light at 2.5” height: Provided ~229 PAR directly underneath but dropped off significantly (95 PAR at 2.5” away, 19 PAR at 5” away). These results indicate that spacing and the number of lights used will significantly impact the effectiveness of the setup. For a 2-foot by 10-inch growing area, I’d recommend using three lights, spaced about 4” apart and positioned about 3” above the plants to achieve a balanced light distribution. One minor drawback is that I wish an extra connecting wire had been included, which would have made the setup more convenient. However, this is a small issue compared to the overall quality and performance of the lights. If you're setting up a grow station, carefully consider the PAR values and spacing to ensure your seedlings get the optimal light exposure. Be sure to check out the attached diagram for a detailed breakdown of my findings.
Clamp has a tight grip & stays in place, it works great with my heavy sansi grow light bulb! No complaints
Great grow light. I can say it’s working. Great size and easy to setup and great value for value. Perfect time to buy for spring farming. No issues until now. No noise at all.
Great light at an affordable price Work great in my plant shelves and very affordable Will definitely be buying more
Using it as a secondary, it seems to be doing the job
Bought this light for my 4 x 2 tent, for as small as this light is it is absolutely fantastic and very bright it has been germinating my seedlings just fine, and I’m very excited to see what happens during the veg stage and what happens in flower so far it’s outperformed all my other lights!!! if you haven’t picked up one of these lights yet I absolutely recommend that you do if you have a bigger grow then definitely go for the 720 W! Hope this review helps you won’t be disappointed!!!
At least it powers on and makes light.. You definitely get what you pay for (i.e. not much) The reflective shroud is thin and was folded up down in the bottom of the box. You have to install it yourself and it will never look nearly as nice as the one in the listing photos. The power supply is much smaller than the one depicted in the photos too (physically) and only puts out about 33W max (30-60v @ 550mA). I'm fairly sure this light is dangerously under-powered. It really does have 256 LEDs, but they are sharing that tiny bit of power. When I look at other lights that claim similar specs, with similar diode layouts, they come with 100-150W power supplies. I can find very similar LED light boards without the power supply and they say they need 100W+ PSUs... Something is weird here, and potentially very wrong.. Probably won't overheat because the Power supply is only 1/3rd what it should be for this many LEDs.. 256 LEDs sharing 33W = 0.12W/ea. There is just no way this thing puts out the light it says it does. It's not bright, but it really should be nearly blinding for the specs it advertises. A 33W led is maybe equivalent to about 150-200W of incandescent light. Nowhere close to 1000W equivalent. Don't buy this.
Wow! So much brighter than I expected. I've bought several small units in the past but this one really delivers the light plants need to thrive. Great value
Munich came with one of the light bulbs broken. I called in the quickly replaced it without any hassle. The lights are bright and it works well but you have to be careful because it is easy to tip over. So far all the plants underneath it are very happy.
I purchased this for my majesty palm. Not sure what difference this light has made since I only got the plant a month ago. I like the timer settings and different light modes. My very favorite thing about this lamp, and what I was really looking for while shopping for this type of product, is how the cord strings thought the hollow base of this lamp. All the others I’ve seen the power plug connects to a cord near the head of the lamp. There’s nothing I dislike more in a living space than visible cords. So my only issue was how unstable it was on my living room carpet. I couldn’t adjust the top of the lamp to its fullest height without it tipping over or on the verge of. Thankfully my father is a tile man and was able to cut me this unique piece from porcelain to sit over the base of the lamp, and now it’s very sturdy! If they could make the bottom of their base heavier and more stable than this product would be perfect.
