I LOVE these lights. They’re so bright. My plants love them too. They’re thriving and growing so well under them! The one thing I wish they’d do is make the connecting cords longer and have loops on the ends of the fixtures themselves so you can hang them from chains if you’d like. Honestly though, the zip ties (that they provide) have worked well too. They’re a little pricey, but worth the money and they barely use any energy. The lights themselves don’t weigh much, but the cords make them a little heavier than you’d think. So definitely make sure they’re secured well before hanging them above delicate plants. They don’t have a timer, so that was one thing that I REALLY wish it had. I had to purchase a power strip that allows you to set timers for them. Running home everyday was not pleasant. They’re still so worth it though. I will say that my crotons have turned incredible shades of yellow, orange, and red, from straight green leaves, so these lights seem very efficient. I’ve really enjoyed them and have bought 4 sets of Barrina lights. I also messaged them to ask about longer cords and they responded quickly the next day. If you’re a plant lover with only north facing windows like me, these lights are amazing and you should definitely think about getting some!
Ok so in my opinion the Spider farmer SE7000 is the second best 700w horticultural LED on the market. And that's only if you don't consider price. If your someone like me who does, than I'd say it's the best overall choice as the only light that I know of that beats it (raging kush 2.0) is also literally twice as much and the only thing it has over the SE7000 is a customizable Kelvin temp for your white/blue light (first reason for four star rating). When measured in a 4x4 gorilla I got readings from 900-1150ppf 12" from canopy. Uniquely enough, the SE7000 densest ppf area was not at the center but rather along the edges of the light. This is due to the second light bar in on either side of the SE7000 is set about 2" closer to the outside bars rather than evenly spaced like most companies. And this is also most likely why it can claim a commercial grade 5x5 flower area with 40moles DLI at 50w less then any other led I know of. All of the bars of the SE7000 are individually removable aswell for customizing your footprint needs. So if your like me and use 4x4 instead of 5x5 tents you can save yourself some space (it's needed lol. This thing BARELY fits in a 4x4) and some money too while still maintaining proper ppf for flowering. The spectrum is great for growing medical marijuana or other fruit bearing plants that like alot of red as not only does the SE model have great blue for vegetative plants but a serious boost in 650-665nm red. The only things missing from the spectrum are IR and UV (second reason for 4star rating). The removable driver is a option that I just don't understand why all LED makers haven't provided since the start. This is extremely useful when trying to reduce heat, hvac costs and lost co2. Was actually the original reason I switched from growers choice roi-e680 lights (widely considered one of the best led's on the market and winner of "best overall" led 2019 and 2020 by grow light depot) to these. That and the fact that the SE7000 has about 2.5x the diodes. Making it more efficient and hopefully last longer. My final review criteria (and third reason for my 4 star rating) is warranty. Unfortunately Spider farmer falls a bit short on this one. Spider farmer has a multistage warranty where everything (parts, labor, and shipping) are only covered for the first 90 days. After that the warranty is mostly junk as you will have to pay shipping and there technicians for anything you need done. Might aswell just buy a new light. Most top tier horticultural LED lighting companies offer 3-5. Like my roi-e680's come with 3yrs. Overall I am quite enthused about this light. I know that Spider farmer isn't generally mentioned in conversations about top led companies and I really think the SE7000 may be the model to change that. Work on the warranty and you'd have a powerful solution for commercial applications. Note: The directions for assembly and installation in the handbook are extremely bad lol. Just to help someone out, the 4 plastic screws in the bag are for the driver and the metal go to the end connection bars to hold them together. And yes the light will fall apart if you don't use them.... Trust me lol.
These are great love, how tall they are and durable for the price, I have only had them on the brightest mode but they provide a really good amount of light , super happy I got these
Just received the light today. I ordered the 3 light tripod. I think the lights are smaller on the 3 than the 1 light model but this is fanatstic. I have a houe full of large and small houseplants. One is dying , thats the very sad messy plant on the floor dropping leaves everywhere. Hoping I can bring it back. My plants were not getting sufficient light due to the lovely PNW winter weather. They need to be right in front of open windows . Since that was becoming a pain to move them all the time I searched for a light. This arrived in a very small box. Dont be alarmed. The tripod and all the lights are on the box. It took me about 5 to 10 minutes to put together. There are 3 goosenecks that rotate in all directions so i moved my plants all to one area and gave them all a spot light. So far so good! It is sturdy but if you have small ones or a big dig maybe get a nonslip mat to sit it on . It sat on the carpet fine also. It can be as short or high as needed. Im 5'4 and it is taller than me at its max. The lights individually dim to 6 different brightness levels , individually turn off and can be turned off 1 by one of you dont need all 3. There is a setting 3 hours , 6 hours and 12 hours. That works as it went off right at 3 as i set it for. I paid the extra few bucks for 3 years warranty and it comes with 1 year I believe. This is amazing and i will likely buy one more single unit for my office trees. When not in use it can be easy shortened and put in a closet , its extremely compact. Mine will stay out all winter and i will put it away in summer. Recommend 100% and the price is good . I will update again in 3 months. (Excuse the mess , i wanted to ensure you vould see the full tripod. (The small potted flower is a garden bromelade that started to die, that perked back up pretty quick)
Ppfd meter reads 1200, from 18in, at 100%, The lights are strong enough to support co2 supplement. Perfect for a 4x4 or 4x5 tent. Although not needed, the no surise/sunset option is the only con. Awesome for all stages of plant growth, especilly flower. Foldable and lightweight. I've had great results with this light spectrum. Vigorous bushy growth in veg, and even stretching and coverage in flower. Bar lights are a must have for any serious grower, This is without a doubt, the best bang for your buck.
I have been starting vegetable plants from seeds for several years now, without using lights. These lights are a game changer, the plants seem to be growing twice as fast. The product does not come with instructions, just watch for the ports at the either ends of the lights, one only fits the wire that interconnects the lights, and the other port only fits the wire that plugs into the outlet. So first layout the lights on the floor, attached the wires, then install the light to make sure the ports are properly aligned. The product comes with brackets to attach the lights, the brackets also have holes and comes with zip ties for hanging them. The zip ties are small, but adequate, I was able to fit larger zip ties in the hole as well.
I really love these lights. They are so much better than those arm led lights that are all over ecogrowhawaii.com. These genuinely work! My houseplants are happy under them and they are so bright. The timer works well and I use it at 12 hours. The lights were easy enough to screw together. I am so pleased with these, they are just like the professional grow light boxes that hang from the ceiling, except they are adjustable, perfect for houseplants, and you can have one light lower than the other. I like how the stand is adjustable as well, plus very stable and secure. Very reasonable price for such a useful grow light.
Purchased the SE7000 spider farmer! November 8, 2023!!! I used it this year for two months before noticing the lights flickering !!! The following week The two pin connector started smoking and melted in my hands while trying to disconnect it !!! Since I only had three weeks left before harvesting, I chose to purchase a new 28M 2pin connector for $60 and Cut the melted factory two pin connector and it’s burnt wires out of the way!!! I then connected my new connector to save time and save my harvest!!! It worked for three days and then the LED Driver Stop working altogether! with 2 to 3 weeks left before harvesting!!! I Contacted ecogrowhawaii.com, which put me to Spider Farmer warranty and customer service only to be a nightmare!! After 15 emails and five days later, the best they will do was send me the replacement parts for me to install, but they out of stock and claims they will not have the parts until September 1st and if I consent to their offer, they will expedited free of charge !!!!!s. So, After all this runaround wasting my time n their lip service I contacted ecogrowhawaii.com today and hopes they would nip it in the butt and give me a full refund or Credit so I can purchase a new same day light from someone other than Spider Farmer !!! Only to find out and they said they will only give me a prorated refunded ecogrowhawaii.com credit which is approximately $200 less than my purchase price and refunded only after I packaged The lights they are currently hanging over my harvest along with the burnt up equipment back to a ecogrowhawaii.com pick up location !!!!! In then I was told that there maybe a restocking and delivery fee as well!!! before they could tell me how much a restocking may cost I was disconnected!!! I have to say I am very disappointed with Spider Farmer and their customer service and not warranty their product!!! I’m even more upset with ecogrowhawaii.com For not giving a 100% refund and for not taking charge and paying attention to their customers have had Bad customer service from Spider Farmer !!! Plus that ecogrowhawaii.com is continuing to sell their products Where is Spider farmer does not have to comply with or within a fast n speedy warranty resolution so the customer does not lose their harvest !!!! Let alone Selling a product that as repeatedly caught on fire and puts peoples lives, livelihood, including their homes, in danger!!! Not to mention all the time and money and effort that me and others have lost With our grow because we are spending too much time going back-and-forth wasting out time and getting nowhere with Spider farmer!!! So people keep that in mind when you decide to buy a light for your next grow!! And make sure you bump up your home/ fire insurance to its max cause you might need it!!
Just recently I got a new saltwater aquarium set up for my bedroom. I had the stand/cabinet custom built and it included an interior cabinet inside the wooden stand that holds and conceals the sump and all the exterior plumbing for tank, the dosing computer, dosing pumps, dosing containers, and all the excess cords and cables. Of course being on the inside of the stand, in a cabinet type of set up, I'd need a light to be able to see everything. I didn't need anything fancy, special or any particular design or style— just a simple light that would be bright enough for me to see everything inside of the cabinet. This light couldn't have been more perfect for what I needed! ✅ LARGE: i love that the light is much bigger than your typical puck/ring light. this light is double the size of the average and therefore can cover more space when illuminated. that means more LED diodes, and therefore, much brighter wattage and power. the size also makes the light a lot more versatile in terms of the ways and purposes in which it can be used; not only for plants. ✅ WOOD GRAIN AESTHETIC: the wood grain exterior of the light is actually pretty cool since there aren't many like it on the market. it also just so happened to identically match the color and grain of the interior cabinet ceiling on which it became mounted. so, the light actually looks like it was built into the stand and was supposed to belong there all along. ✅ BRIGHTNESS: this little light packs so much brightness! i was actually a little surprised at exactly how bright this light ended up being. i don't even use it on its highest setting when i have it on and am looking at the sump. because it's so bright that the sump will start getting a little bit of algae on the glass. i definitely appreciate the brightness options. ◼ OVERALL RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE STARS ————————————————♡ 📌⤑ IN SUMMARY: so even though im not using the light for it's intended purpose of growing plants, it still manages to work out so perfectly for what i needed it for. i was able to use a very small screw driver and take off the tiny metal piece that allows it to be mounted on the metal pole, and it became a stand alone ring light that i mounted to the roof of the interior aquarium cabinet with a little double stick tape and so far so good! its been holding up extremely well for the past two weeks. i also have it connected to another power switch that allows me to operate the light from a mounted switch that's much easier than the original built in switch. i have no complaints or issues ♡
Planted kale seeds in some rockwool and small growing container under this light. Seeds sprouted in 3 days. Very bright, basic timer functions and dimmable. Great value at its price point and did it's job. The telescoping stand offers great adjustability and is stable even at max height. The flex head is great and stays in the position you choose, although I wish it was a little longer for better reach. Minor, but it would be nice if it included clips to neatly run the power cable down the stand. Instead I used the black twist ties from the packaging. That said, would definitely buy again at this price.
This grow light is absolutely incredible! After just a few short weeks, my indoor winter garden is thriving beyond my expectations. The plants are visibly healthier and growing faster than I could have imagined. If you're looking for a high-quality grow light that delivers real results, I can't recommend this one enough!
These grow lights exceeded my expectations! With the lights positioned about 3 feet above my plants, they provide around 100 PPFD, which is perfect for light- to medium-needs plants. I've been using them for a while now, and my houseplants and herbs have shown significant growth since adding these to my setup. Drivers don't get too hot at all around 83F. Good heat dissipation. The full-spectrum light seems to work wonderfully for my plants' needs, and they are ideal for indoor gardens or small setups. The lights are lightweight, easy to hang, and deliver great results without being overpowering. If you're growing houseplants, herbs, or even low-light veggies, these lights are an excellent choice. Highly recommend for anyone looking for affordable and effective grow lights! Conclusion is for the price these are a great pair of LED lights.
This grow light is pure quality, no flarings, external fluff, just pure light and heat-sink. Since i was dismayed at not being able to find the actual dimensions of the lights Here they are from the manual: SH1200= 9.1x8.9" SH2000= 17x8.9" SH4000= 28.7x8.9
Completly upped my grow game. High quality, sturdy, and stays relatively cool in a properly ventilated tent.
My living room/ kitchen area doesn't get enough natural light to keep happy houseplants. I needed something easy to put up that could give my plants a dose of daily full spectrum lighting. These literally took me like 15 minutes to put up, and most of that was just measuring. Just connect the leads, put 4 little double sided sticky pads on per light, stick and go! I have textured walls and ceilings so I was worried about these staying put but so far they are remaining fully adhered. They are however VERY bright. Right now I'm just doing four hour light exposures, between these and the little bit of indirect light my plants get I think that's plenty. I like that the timer is built right into the cord, and you have a 4,8, or 12 hour option. They are very lightweight, and the lights themselves seem good quality. The cords and components however do feel kind of cheap. Also you don't have to use all four lights if you don't want to, they are all identical, no special end light. So if you only want two or three you don't have to connect them all. Most important for my space was that these can be daisy chained. The first lights I tried for this space didn't have that ability and ended up not working out. So overall I'm happy with these, super easy to put up, bright plant happy lighting, built in timer. Really the only minute is the cords and components feel cheap so I don't know how long they will last.
