Nice and bright. Grow lights have advance so much in that decade. This economical light is brighter than some of my very high end light that I purchased for a lot of money 10 years ago. The only things I can think of that improve this light is the ability to dim or adjust the power.

If you need lots of light, this might be the product for you. But I would advise measuring your grow tent (or area) carefully to verify that this light, which is fairly large, will fit your space, and that you have enough headroom to keep the light away from your young seedlings.
I did not measure before purchasing this light and really should have. Somehow, I missed the fact that the unit is not a square but a rectangle; I must have seen that one dimension is 22 inches and assumed from the picture that it was a square, 22×22″. It is NOT a square and in fact is 22″ x 28″. Since I had a grow tent that was 2 feet on each side, the 22 inch dimension was great but the 28 inch did not fit, and so I could not use this light at all.
I ordered a larger tent, 4 feet on a side and about 8 feet tall. This of course could accommodate the dimensions of the light bars; but I missed the growing season and only recently got ready to start growing again.
This light unit is made from several LED bars that are mounted on what appears to be aluminum, not doubt to dissipate heat. The several LED bars are connected together by fairly hefty steel bars. The power unit is mounted on the top along with four metal loops that are used to attach the support system which consists of a bundle of 4 steel wires that are connected at the top to a carabiner. The carabiner in turn connects to a “yo-yo” type adjustable length lanyard that is commonly used in grow tents. The cord on this lanyard is a thick, strong woven material.
The power cord is long, approximately 10 feet, convenient when wiring up the grow tent. The power cord has an in-line power switch which is on/off; there is no adjustment to control the intensity of the light .. it’s on or it’s off. Speaking of intensity, this unit puts out a LOT of light and you will need to control how much light reaches your plants by moving it up and down using the yo-yo lanyard. The vendor has recommended that for germination and seedlings that you need at least 36 inches of space between the lights and the plants. Given how bright this light is, I think that an even larger gap might be appropriate. Once your plants reach maturity, you will likely love the high intensity, but you need to treat the youngsters with care.
Another measurement that you need to consider if this unit will work for your growing area is the vertical space requirement. The support system of the light, with the lanyard in the ‘all the way up’ position will require anywhere from 24 inches to 28 inches, depending on how you configure the steel support wires. This means that you need about 2 feet from the top of your grow tent/area just for the light’s support. You need to take this space requirement into account to determine if the lights can be kept far enough away from your plants to avoid “light burn”. You also have to consider how much space is left for you mature plants, so that they don’t grow too close to the lights. Now there may be alternate ways to mount the light in a grow tent such as lashing it to the top supports in the tent; but I have not considered this in this review, and only address the mounting options that are in the kit and discussed in the product manual. Mounting the light very close to the top of a tent MAY cause a heat issue since the power unit is on the top of the lights; I would only advise this mounting method if you are VERY sure that you know of amount of heat created and you have a method of dealing with it, to avoid a fire.
Included in the kit, in addition to the lights, are two metal bars with screws, a screwdriver, the yo-yo lanyard with carabiner, the support steel wires, also with a carabiner and clasps that to attach the wires to the light. If you have misplaced the instructions, as I did, for the unit I can remind you that the two extra metal bars and screws are used to attach multiple of these units together; if you have only one unit, then the bars and screw are not needed.
I will surely use this light during this season’s growing; although I may start my seeds with a lower wattage light source and then move them under this unit when they are old enough to handle the very intense light provided.

I installed this grow light in my mini greenhouse and have been growing some seedlings. Works great and is built heavy duty. Has built in hooks for easy installing. Very nice grow light

Update: everything was good until day 92 and I noticed out of the corner of my eyes it was flashing and each time I unplugged it and turned it back on only for it to do it again. So now my whole grow will die right when I needed it most it goes out..
These aren’t to terrible to assemble and put up to get going. They are made well and the instructions are clear and to the point. The settings provide enough range to grow whatever you please. They are a good size and get the job done! This is one of the best grow lights ive tried.

I received this as my second grow light for my tent. This one being free for evaluation is twice the power consumption of my previous model. This one includes IR which my previous light did not include. I have this being used in a 2‘4“ by 2‘4“ Tent and have noticed good performance and my plant is quite happy with the light being provided my observations are that this does not have a cooling fan nor does it have a select ability for specific light ranges and adds considerably more heat inside the environment, requiring additional ventilation to maintain consistent temperatures. Overall, this light appears to be very nice and I anticipate I will get good use from this in the future, however depending on the types of plants and needs to transition from certain growing phases, whether vegetation of flowering, I may opt to use a different model for greater control.

Unfortunately, while the light seemed to work as intended, there was more about this light that I disliked than what I did like. The frame was bent when it arrived. The switch is much closer to the unit than the plug, so I had to open the tent each time to turn it off/on. The size is just barely too large to fit in a 2×2, feels like it could have been made to fit or have alternate frame pieces to fit (I used it in a 3×3 instead). The cables to hang it are very long, I measured it hanging a minimum length of at least 17 inches from light to bottom of the carabiner. It was also very challenging to hang it level, even slight bumps set it askew. I’ll be using my well made 100w light instead of this until I upgrade to a different unit.

I set this light up to start growing micro greens and it has been perfect. The light output is nice and bright and it is set up in such a way that I can group several trays together and they all seem to get pretty even light and don’t start reaching for the light.

I’ve had this light since September or November and run it on a timer 12hr on 12hr off and have a fan for cooling as it does get hot. I woke this morning and it was on then stopped working and it won’t come back on. I’m very disappointed because it seemed to be a good light. If you want something to last this isn’t the one you want
