The light is just right. I gave 3 stars because I had to send the first one back for being defective. The top and bottom would not screw together. Which was a big inconvenience.

I bought this light solely for the timer function. I spent a lot of time setting up the timer to mimic the sun in 15-minute intervals. I left my plants and the light in the office, and after a week of use, one plant died (to be fair, it wasn’t doing that great to begin with), but the other healthy plant shriveled up. I realized that the light had never turned off, so the plant was getting 100% of “sunlight. ” The app is very basic, with simple on/off and timer options- there’s not much to mess up (if it worked). Poor plants! I bought this thinking it would make them healthier, not the opposite! 🙁
On another note, when the light stand is close to its tallest, it topples over because the legs don’t seem to support it well, especially if you are using the string lights on one side instead of a 360-degree direction. The legs are either not strong enough or do not lock when fully tightened.
I tried writing a review on their App, but it conveniently couldn’t connect and did not save the review lol.

I just started my indoor gardening journey at the start of December and added this light to help my plants grow. The installation is very easy, as simple as extending the pole to your desired height and tightening a screw.
The app is not clear on how to set the timer or differentiate the colors but it does work (the app is the reason I didn’t give the light 5 stars).
The remote is connected to the wire that plugs into the outlet so I wouldn’t necessarily count it as a remote.
The price of the product is great and you do get the various colors. I have been using it with all 3 colors at once. I am quick to give up on my plants and the grow light has encouraged me to continue with growing my plants! Plan to buy more as I extend my plant collection. Love the durability, quality, and price of this item.
