Being out of season I thought it would be a good test to see what lettuce we could grow with the kids. They planted the seeds which germinated. We affixed this light over the top of a metal shelving unit and it left it to do it’s thing. The rapid growth of the lettuce is a testament to how efficiently this works. I would be very happy to recommend it and will be using it in the spring to germinate the seeds for our garden.

Se I ordered this to have a good at growing my spring hanging basket seedlings rather than buying young plants from the garden centre.
So far it’s doing ok, although the power consumption is a little concerning.
I’m hoping to save money growing my own plants, but not sure the economics are going to work out once the cost of materials and the cost of energy are properly added together. Perhaps it’s just my use case of course.
The light does appear to work well so full marks for function; just not convinced on the economics of it.
