   If you’re looking for a standing grow light to maximize your vertical space you’d be hard pressed to come across a better option than this one. The light bars clip in together in a matter of seconds. The electric cord with the timer is situated normally, unlike some other options that attempt to run it through the vertical piping where it gets stuck or comes apart.

   Perhaps the most underrated feature is the oversized base. If you look, you’ll see the light pole is not in a typical circle or small square like other options on the market. Nor is it centered. I could be wrong, but I think this is so you can slide it under an object (e.g., a bookshelf) or place something on the base, such as a potted plant, to keep the light from tipping over. I used the ‘slide under something else’ option to squeeze my light between a 5-tier metal shelving station I use for newly-transplanted plants, and a tall potting bench in my basement. There is no way I could fit an entire light stand base into that space, as it would be too wide in diameter and the base too tall even if it were only 1″-1.5″. Yet, I was able to slide this under the shelving unit with minimal resistance and now have a single light supporting three levels of newly-transplanted plants. That’s a win in my book.

   I ordered this because my husband tend to travel a lot and I have many different plants. We put it on a smart light switch so that I could turn on and off when I wanted but it didn’t work as I intended. You can hear the switch click but the light won’t turn on (bummer).
   When I manually turn on the light it has different light settings was easy to install and doesn’t take up much room. The timer works and is lightweight and can be moved easily. Blends in with my tall plants so it’s hardly noticeable and it doesn’t take away from the beauty of my plants ( not an eye sore thankfully) !

   When it first arrived, it was giving out good amount of light. The design was clean and not intrusive. Timer options made it a set and forget thing.

   However, it only worked for a few months and then one day it just stop working. The button stopped responding, it stuck in this dimmed light stage and the only way to switch it off and from the power point.

   There was no fiddling, just the initial setup and I let the timer to it’s thing. And last week, I just noticed there is no light for the plants anymore and they all looking sad.

   Disappointing considering the price. My other cheap 15 dollars grow lights which I packed up after this purchase, ended up saving the plants at the moment.

   First lamp work for a couple weeks and broke and this was the replacement lamp. Today is three day short of two mo this and it stopped working. The lights just sit on the floor so there should be no reason for them to stop working. Unfortunately I’m out money on this lamp and do not recommend others to buy it.

   This light was super straight forward to assemble, and came with various options for mounting and hanging as well. The body of the lights is painted aluminum, and has a nice weight to it. It’s somewhat sturdy when it’s mounted onto its foot, but ruckus kids or pets could easily cause it to topple if it got bumped. It’s wire-mount hanging option is solid, one of the nicer ones I’ve seen from this General style of plant light. It has three spectrums of light, all of which have step dimming. It’s controls are very easy and intuitive to use. The body of the light does get pretty “warm” to the touch, just something to keep in mind. Once all three light bars are clicked together they are very sturdy, no wiggle at all. They are also hard to disassemble (maybe it’s just hard because I have nails) I’ll have to let y’all know how the timer works when winter comes and it set this up full time.

   I have some very large house plants that I brought with me from my old home to a new home. There is a beautiful recessed corner near my stairway that I wanted to use some of these plants in. Unfortunately, the small window that lights my entryway does not give enough sunlight for them and they were slowly dying, I placed this light behind the post for the banister. It’s very low profile, but sheds a large amount of light on the plants. Within 48 hours all of the leaves were turning and reaching for this light. I’m looking forward to seeing how well the plants grow now that I finally been able to give them the light they need. One critical feedback on this otherwise very quality product is that it did not come with great instructions. The instructions are picture graphics similar to what you’d get with a Lego kit and it did take me a couple tries to get it assembled correctly. The actual assembly was pretty easy, and all I needed was a screwdriver. The light has the potential to be mounted several different ways, but for me, the standing version is perfect. The base is heavy, high-quality metal and the light stand feels very sturdy. there are multiple settings for yellow or bright white light, low or high power, and even a timer so you can set this to give light just when you want to. I like to set the timer so that it’s lit up at night and this provides some additional safety going up and down the stairs, as well as providing light to my plants. This is a very well engineered product that solved the problem for me of getting light to my plants in my dark entryway. I would recommend this product to anyone that enjoys growing plants indoors and wants to have plants decorating their home someplace other than right in front of a window. If hung horizontally, this could easily be used to start seedlings, and it comes with all the hardware to do that. I was impressed that it came with hardware not just to stand up straight, but also to hang it horizontally or even suspend it from a ceiling. If you have your own grow house, this light would easily hang from the ceiling and work well for your plants. I do update reviews if the product turns out to be less durable than expected but based on what I see this is a quality product and I expect it to last a long time. I own other grow lights. This one far surpasses my others in quality and style. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

   This is a nice grow lamp with tons of different options for mounting. I keep mine stood up on end and use is as a grow light AND a lamp for my office. Throws a ton of natural light and keeps my plants happy! Easy to use with the button attached to the cord so I don’t have to worry about losing a remote. Great price point for the quality too!
