   I use these in one of a few different T5 hanging lamps – either 2-bulb, 4-bulb, or 8-bulb. The application is for sprouting seeds in a nursery environment (like a small ‘grow tent’). These are the bulbs I like for any germination, they work awesome. The spectrum seems to be spot on. Honestly, I do not use the 8-Bulb lamp because I used LEDs once out of the nursery.

   Very happy w these, always had to order light bulbs thru the mail I’ve received so many broken ones in the past, but these were packed very nicely in hard cardboard tubes also bubble wrapped inside of those, yest still very easy to unwrap and install, really happy w this purchase.

   I received my bulbs on Feb 11. Today is March 20 and I had 8 out of the 10 fail on me already. I’m running two 4 ft lights, 8 bulbs total. Horrible life on these bulbs I regret buying. I had my lighs for over 3 hrs and all the bulbs that came with it still work except for one, that’s 7 out of 8 bulbs still working, just less bright. I’m glad I kept my old bulbs, as they are almost all put back in to keep my grow going.

   These bulbs were bought end of March 2025. 3 have died already and it’s May 4, 2025. Just pulled new one out to replace burnt on and it’s broken, tried another and a pin on one side is bent, pulled last one out, got installed it and it won’t work. My return window ended less than 2 weeks ago. If you buy- check every single bulb right away or your return window ceases. My suggestion is to pass on these.

    Using them for growights. I accidentally purchased the flowering bulbs instead of the seedling bulbs (I meant to buy the 6500), but after some research the internet said that it actually doesnt matter too too much so I’m using them. My plants seem to be doing fine…

    We needed one lamp right off the bat. The first lamp I pulled out of the tube was bad. The second one was fine. I should probably have checked the other 3 lamps before reviewing but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. The price is good (better if all 5 lamps are good). The shipping tube is heavy duty. The color temperature looks right. Aside from the one bad lamp, all is well. If I find any more bad lamps when I get around to checking, I’ll update the review. Knocking off one star for now for the one faulty lamp.

    I have ordered other florescent in the past and they always arrived broken, but these were in a cardboard tube, wrapped in bubble wrap and the tube was in a box. Although the tube of was loose in the box, it should have been secured in the box with peanuts or bubble wrap, all arrived safe and put four right to work. I bought these for my kitchen and not to grow anything. It might be me, but the color these lights emit does not seem correct to my eyes and 5000k LED light I have over my sink seems to be whiter as seen in the pictures. Very little change when I take the diffusers off the light fixture; they are brighter, but not as white. These seem to give off a tint other than white, maybe a green or blue, and I guess I am going to have to live with that until I buy some LED bulbs to replace these. Just got them so how long they will last is unknown, but when I first turned them on I left them on for 12 hour straight. Changed my mind and cannot deal with the green tint of my kitchen so going with new light fixtures with LED. Cannot stand the green look of my kitchen.
