   These are great lights. Attractive, inexpensive, adjustable, easy to assemble and use. I bought two and love the way they blend into the environment. The timer and dimmer options work well. Turn in the light at the time you want it to turn on everyday. Then press the timer option 4-6-12 hours and that’s it. The light will come on each day and stay on for the hours you chose.

   Pretty good! Easy to put together, the power cord is super long (which seems convenient), and it’s all very lightweight. It doesn’t seem to get very hot and it has a decent timer for the lighting. I’m using it for my nano aquarium and my plants seem to be flourishing. Highly recommend.

   My son gave me an orchid as a housewarming gift. I am not living where there is a lot of sunshine.I wasn’t sure how effective this light would be. It seems to be working very well. I did have to be creative and put the pole into an empty vase. It would’ve been nice if it came with a stand. The timer comes on at 9:30 every morning and goes off 12 hours later. It was easy to set – you just have to look at the manual that comes with the grow light. I had a problem with the pole When I got it. I had difficulty extending it. I contacted the company and they immediately replaced it with a new one. The orchid might look as if it’s dying, but it is actually putting out a second round of buds, which will turn into flowers soon. Very happy with this product.

   I am in love with this light. It seriously saved my plants!! I moved to a cloudy, dark area and have only a tiny window to put my plants in. I got this plant light and it saved everything.

   I actually didn’t know how well it worked until I went out of town for a week and didn’t have the light on at all. Most of my plants shriveled and almost died! Once I got the light back on, my plants perked right back up.

   I wish it came with a stand to put on a flat surface, rather than a stick into a pot, but that’s just because I only have 1 big pot to stick it into. However, due to its ease of height changes, this 1 light covers all 12 of my medium/small plants. It’s so easy to use and the perfect size to spread light to each of my plants.

   I bought these as a Christmas gift for my daughter who grows cactuses and she’s always taking them outside so they get enough sunlight. Can’t do that in the winter. These work perfectly to give her the exact amount of light they require. They were easy to set up and they extend really high or down low whichever you prefer. They also have a timer that you can set so you don’t have to remember when to turn them off .I also got a set for me for my violets and they are growing really well they like the extra light because my office doesn’t have any. One thing you will have to note is that they are heavy if you have really small plants they’re not going to be able to stick into the plants because you will tip them over. One way that we compensated for that was to get a jar, put a whole bunch of different stones in the jar and then put the light stem inside that jar and then set them amongst all of our plants. It worked perfectly. You will not be disappointed.

    This product is great if you need something like right now and don’t want to spend a million dollars on the really nice ones. I love that the wire is very long and can reach a far away outlet if need be. I also appreciate that the fixture is adjustable. It provides a good amount of extra light for my plants that are near a northeast facing window that doesn’t produce much light on overcast days. I ended up buying 2 more, so highly recommend.

    So you don’t have to search – I measured the PPFD of this light at 100 umol/m2/s at 100% at 4″, about 75 umol at 6″, and about 50 umol at 8″ with a sharp drop off below that. Good for some low light plants where you can get close to the canopy, but for anything with varied canopy height where the light needs to penetrate, you may want to consider another option.

    However, for the price, this is surprisingly well made. The base is solid and the telescoping height-adjusting rod sturdy. Timer and dimmer functions are spot on. The diffuser is a nice touch that adds to the look of the light.

    I tried it on orchids, but the flower spikes prevent placing the light to provide much to the leaves. Not bright enough for succulents. I have one on a young calathea and another on a young nerve plant that were both recently split, with the light positioned close to the leaves, so we’ll see what happens.

    I purchased this light to help with my new Basil/herb counter top growing operation. Since I don’t have a lot of windows with full sun, this really helps. I love that it has a timer on it, you choose 6, 8 or 12 hrs. Also you can choose the brightness level of the light. I just have basil right now, but it sure looks good. We’ll see if it can sustain through the winter! The light is round, has a pretty long cord and has an adjustable height. It doesn’t cover a huge area, but is enough for 3 or 4 growing jars. So far, I am happy with the purchase.  Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.
